How do you start having a passion for boxing?

just by having puerto rican blood i had pasion for the sport lol...but on serious note my grandfather and my father showed me great clips from great fighters in the 70s and 80's and early 90's started being a hardcore fan when trinidad fought camacho since present.

31 years later and I'm deeper into boxing than ever. I only regret not becoming a fighter myself, and I have been told my speed is like lightning. Maybe I could have been decent, I don't know, but to be honest I value my straight nose very much. I sometimes look in the mirror and press my nose flat, then turn away and say "nah"...

i never hated benn, i hated eubank. ****y prick. He was a great boxer before the michael watson fight though.

My dad was a new england heavyweight golden glove champ, i used to always watch him hit the heavy bag in our basement almost every night, he had his trophys all over our living room and always had people over for the fights. But i remember mostly Tyson vs. Holyfield 1.. He had everyone over and i just remember the excitement from all my dads friends, uncles, everyone and just the environment before the fight and i just got caught up in the excitement being a young kid. Before some of the big fights now even being 20 years old i still get that same feeling i did on that night.

i started to get interested on boxing at the end of 2006. the interest started with a mix of things, they were showing all rocky movies on cable, and i havent seen them in quite a time, the game fight night, and the anime series fighting spirit. all of that made me curious and started to search for fights and see when they were showing fights on tv. well...i just got hooked with the sport really quick...started to practice boxing myself and just love it since. im really lucky, cos no one ever showed me anything about boxing and i discovered it for myself just how awesome it is =P. well...im still green in this sport cos i have lots to learn, so thats why i enjoy this forum, cos i always leran a lot in here.

Yeah i think if I had never met him i would've been a fan.
I met him twice when i was fairly young and he just totally blanked me and my dad, looked the other way like we were ****.
After that i always hated him and routed for Benn.
Did you see that series Gladiators when Benn and Eubank had to do old style gladitorial events against each other. It was class Benn won and Eubank couldn't handle it. I cant find any footage but it's worth seeing if you can find it.
