Those people in the TV world are people too you know and they didn't bother watching Cotto against Gomez, where as Floyd convinced 350,000 viewers into shelling out 49.99 to watch him sparr against Baldomir.
Well have you ever thought of that fact that there are actually educated people out there who like me realised the fight was a forgone conclusion. Lets see how the margarito fight does in terms of numbers then we'l talk.

350k for the best fighter in the world against the recognised linear champ is hardly worth bragging about

        • Yes, Mayweather is a very goog fighter, good record, even when some of his victories are question. ( oscar), but he still won those fights ( Castillo).
the way he fights is very fast. but after Hatton, even when he won the fight, Floyd showed something never seeing before, he was loosing the fight till the six round, when hatton got upset with Cortes and began to fight angry ,Hatton came out of focus and got ko. however, Floyd showed a weakness when he is pressure inside, show this with Baldomir in a round or two, With hatton he almost got KO in the first Round, That is what Cotto said before, He cannot take pressure. Oscar find out that for the second fight in september that is why Oscar will defeat Floyd this time openly. Mayweathe will lose to Cotto, because he will not be able to stand the pressure and hard hits by Miguel., And Floyd knows that. my point is this, any figter that box Mayweather will lose. floyd is a master boxing. But Floyd will lose when he fight a fighter that put extreme pressure on him

          • You just might be the ultimate *****. All those previous weight classes don't mean ****. If Mayweather expects to be considered the best welterweight, he needs to fight the best competition at 147 lbs. The fact that he used to be a champion in other divisions only matters to stans like you.

no fighter at 147 is considered better then floyd

              Ignore list? What's that?
A cowards way out? Is that what you are, Napo?
I can't understand what the **** you are saying half the time, but when you started putting "U's" in there, you lost me.
              I haven't had to decipher "******" in a while, but I'll I give it a shot.
If I saw you on the street, I'd change my demeanor?
If it makes you sleep better at night, sugar ****.

Floyd vs Gatti - Gatti's first and only PPV fight. Biggest payday of his career.

Floyd vs Judah - Judah's first PPV and the highest PPV numbers of his career. Cotto-Judah did less then that. The biggest payday of his career.

Floyd vs Baldomir - Baldomir's first and only PPV. His biggest payday to date. Baldomir against Gatti ( you know Gatti, the guy that Floyd did a PPV with because he is such a PPV attraction) was on free HBO.

Floyd vs Oscar - 2.5 million PPV buys....a new record. Did more then Oscar-Mosley, Oscar-Trinidad, Oscar-Mayorga, Oscar-(insert here).

The way i see it was fans complaining about him fightin Baldomir and yet he still managed to convince 350,000 viewers to watch a sparring session.

350,000 aren't bad numbers against a guy who never did a PPV before in his career.
The only people complaining about that fight were the internet boxing fans who knew about the Margarito fiasco. The average boxing fan just thought it was a match up for the undisputed welterweight title, who WOULDNT buy it?

I guess nobody now that you put it that way. The fight was a match-up made in heaven for the mainstream fans who have no trouble seperating the IBF world title from the WBC title...

                      You nailed it.
