      Cotto would win.

Mayweather will never have the courage to face Cotto, so it's never going to happen anyway...

        Cotto will win.

Floyd dosen't have the courage to face Cotto, he will be afraid to come to the ring and will forfeit the fight.

        Cotto by TKO from Fear.

Its tough being a fan of a fighter and being "knowledgeable" of the way fighters fight.

Almost everybody who's pointed out that Floyd will KO Cotto reverts back to comparing Cotto to Hatton. That automatically tells me:

A.They don't watch what Cotto does in the ring (contrary to what you may read)

              B. Focus too much on Cotto's brawling style and don't see how much he's evolved as an all around fighter.

              C. His weak chin? Since he's been at Welterweight he's been rocked a couple times and he took some solid shots from both Zab & Mosley and adjusted fine (and Floyd doesn't have Mosley's punching power by any means).

I believe Cotto's jab will be the backbone of Cotto's arsenal as he sets up his combos. Floyd will fight his fight as he usually does trying to frustrate Cotto and lead him in to fighting his fight (ala Oscar). But Cotto's mental game is really looked over and can play a key role in the fight when it gets in the later rounds and can steal some rounds from Floyd.

I have Cotto by Split or late stoppage.

It will definately be one of the highest skill level fights we see in a long time. I doubt it will have the kind of replay value that some fights have though... The best kind of fights are tactical wars IMO (Barrera-Morales 1, 2 and 3, Morales-Pacquiao I, etc.), and Floyd will freeze it to not be that.

No complaints from me in regards to that though... I see no reason that any fighter should ever sell out their advantages that have brought them to the elite level to make a fight more exciting or interesting. That is just dumb IMO.

Mayweather v. Cotto will make Hopkins/Calzaghe look like an all out war.

Mayweather will not allow Cotto to get off power shots..he will potshot him to death....Mayweather Cotto will most likely be May's last fight...you actually think hes going to make any risks in the ring??...HELL NO.

Cotto will not be able to get into a rthym.....

Lampley said it best" When Mayweathers fight using the hit and not get hit style its an unfair fight for his opponent".

Cotto is actually a good fighter..but Mayweather will not be there when Cotto swings....it will be an ugly fight.

But you can't deny that the subtle adjustments going on in the ring that night will be absolutely fantastic to see for a boxing purist. The level of skill in that ring will seriously be insane, even if Viva Mexico will be bored by it.

I agree with that..I definetly see Cotto switching to southpaw at times which might bag him a couple rounds.
