Of course it is. In both cases the ref wasn't paying attention and their lack of attentiveness caused two situations where the fight ended abruptly. It's their job to keep control and discipline inside that ring. If fighters could contain themselves in the heat of the moment, there wouldn't be a need for a referee.

I don't wanna question Mendez's heart but after being hurt twice, dropped once and being KO'ed is he even gonna wanna rematch? That'll fk you up mentally.

Except what Mayweather did was not illegal. This was. The ref told Money and Ortiz to fight.Of course it is. I've seen Barthelemy fight several times, once live. I've never seen Rances so sharp. He was throwing some cracking shots in there. Mendez just wasn't ready for all that. Barthelemy came to take that title!I was actually hoping for a longer fight maybe a k.o late for my personal entertainment but that Mendez dude was outclassed I had never seen the Barthelemy kid before, and did not expect that. Great K.0 altho the last 2 punches of the combo where late dude was still protecting himself he would have been out regardless. Good start for 2014Comment

Both. Application of rules and fans reaction. We dont react as bad ON HERE but don't tell me when you see a fighter take shots after the bell you don't scream your lungs out? Especially if it's your fighter.Originally posted by LHKQuote:

Are you talking about the application of the rules or fan reaction? Because I always hate it when refs just brush it off, like the Maidana/Broner fight.
