THe bulk of them made big names of themselves by fighting eachother; thus it's hard to get a scope of "who the best was", especially as Calzaghe showed up so late to the party.

            Lennox Lewis Born 1966.

Did they have their prime at the same time??

There is no way you can argue that Collins met Benn or Eubank at the height of their power.
They had both been in wars whereas Collins had not.
In fact he had NEVER been anywhere near their level of opposition and lost to much inferior men.

I think people, including myself, just think that Collins would've lost to them in their primes. Benn especially was way passed his best. Regardless of age both men had been in alot of wars and had both been through traumatic experiences in the ring. Also the fights against Eubank were very very close and controversial in some peoples eyes, and some feel Eubank let Collins off the hook in the first fight when he had him down because he was scared of hurting him, which brings us back to the traumatic experience. Collins was a tough bastard, but nothing special.

Your logic: he must be shot if he lost to Collins.

It couldn't possibly have anything to do with Collins being a good fighter, because you deeply believe Collins is inferior.

Then Collins defeated the younger Eubank twice, but of course there must be some other reason than Collins being a good fighter, since you believe he is inferior. So although Eubank was younger, you'll say he was shot.

                  Truly sickening.

I would NEVER class Collins as British.
