neither lennox lewis nor calzaghe are the best british fighters, that title goes to Jimmy Wilde. 131 wins (99 KO's) 3 losses, 2 draws 13 No contests.

So they say, it's a bit hard for us to say it with any conviction though seeing as he retired in the early 20s.

Yeah because the division was great, full of great fighters right?

So he fought Gerald, Roy and a few others? Or was he in his little nest fighting ordinary ppl in the same weight class without going up in fear of him fighting some better ppl?

Lennox was a punk and a kid on brit he fought for canada at the olympics, he beat up a old tyson, got lucky against vitali, and was knocked out twice by bums, he never had half the support in the uk that hatton or calzaghe had.

Do you think Bernard Hopkins is a "legend"?

For the record I think Lewis was a better champion than Calzaghe is now, but I don't see how this means that Calzaghe has to be completely dismissed as a fighter. Punches like a girl? C'mon. He has 32 stoppages in a 45 win career as a professional boxer. Don't be silly now.

Lewis is the best British fighter in recent memory, Calzaghe is up there.
