If Mayweather beats De La Hoya soundly maybe this fight won't happen and he'll retire, or he wants to fight everyone before he retires, so soon after his bout with Mayweather will make a statement hes done.

Oscar will have to KO Floyd in order to win his fight with him which I don't think he can do. Floyd has way too much stamina to lose on the cards to Oscar.

Don't sleep on Floyd. Yeah he might not be fighting number one contenders but I don't think his fitness game ever falls off. I don't see it possible for Oscar to condition himself to a place where his body will do him better than Floyds will service him.

He wont beat Mayweather, nice thought. Oh wait, he wouldn't beat Cotto either. I can't wait til Oscar retires actually, 5 L's in the red column takes the shine off of his..er...goldenness

I think he would fight Cotto even if he lost, unless he lost by a knockout, which is unlikely. The first fight was close this one will be about the same. If he looks decent/feels decent he will fight cotto..imo

                  my 2 cents

oscar has a suprisingly even fight with steve forbes, but gets the decision anyway because hes in the money and hey..the guys retiring, then if he gets a decision against mayweather it will be because he previously announced an exciting fight with another big hitter like cotto or even a margarito or pacquiao that people want to see (which would be an exciting fight if oscar is in good condition or he will bust out an "alfonso" if hes in bad condition) only to end up fighting some well known b class fighter on the rise and winning with an unsurprising knockout to which people will remember him as the great fighter who finished his career with a 3-0, even though all those fights weren't as entertaining as they could've been

two mega fights so soon after means hes finished. he'll lose both'em. And if Floyd dominates him it wont be a mega fight. This should hapopen in September instead, huge PR-MEx that way
