Other reasons I've heard for Floyd not fighting Cotto...

- Cotto isn't a pirate - yar.
- Cotto get his suits tailored by a guy who disrespected Floyd once.
- Cotto hasn't decapitated anyone in the ring yet - so he isn't a "true" threat.
- Cotto never sold 5,000,000 PPV sales while baking a cake.
- Cotto doesn't have any friends who are rappers.

That basically says it all. They claim they are boxing fans and that Floyd is keeping the sport alive. Yet this is what a fighter needs to do in order to get a boxing match......

Reading comprehension is not your best attribute, you dumb ******. I said that Cotto vs Mayweather will make more money than the rematch between DLH and Mayweather. If he was building hype for this to happen wouldn't you think he at least would pretend there's a possibility of this fight happening. Not overlooking Cotto and talking **** about fighting Hatton in Wembley. He just wants Cotto, who is by far his biggest threat, to lose and so he can continue to make easy money no question asked.

Why would Floyd acknowledge or pretend as you put it there is a possibility that the fight is going to happen when he already knows the plan? If Cotto gets by Margarito he knows a fight with Cotto is next, as soon as he's finished with DLH. I don't think Floyd believes that Cotto will beat Margarito . If Cotto loses, it will confirm what he thinks. That is that Cotto is not worthy. I don't necessarily agree but I believe that's what Floyd thinks. I absolutely agree with you that Floyd wants Cotto to lose! In fact, I've stated before that Floyd is probably praying that Margarito loses because I think he'll have a harder time matching up with Margarito than Cotto. Show some intelligence and learn to debate your point without resorting to insulting people. Especially when you're questioning someones level of intelligence when your own post if filled with misspelled words and our points were fairly similar.

My solution to the evergoing Floyd bull****...

Let's just remove Floyd from the Welterweight rankings all together.
Doesn't look like he's ever going to do anything in the division in the future, & the only fight he's had in the division in the last couple of years was against a Junior-Welter, albeit a pretty good one.

Put him on top of the P4P rankings to keep all Floyd nuthugger & boxing "purists" happy, & make it the sole domain of the "new" Ring magazine..

Then start a completely new P4P list for actual working fighters, which only rank boxers in the top 10 if they've done really meaningful in their own weightclass over the last year, but past accomplishments are ofcourse taken into consideration.

Should make everybody happy, right?

Probably not because just like the current rankings, yours would be just as subjective. Who can define meaningful ? More important, all that don't agree with what is meaningful will be on this board doing what we are doing right now!

To the man in the street Miguel Cotto is a nobody. To us boxing fans, yeah Miguel is a superstar, a warrior, a tremendous fighter, he is a genuine challenge to Floyd, but you have to understand Mayweathers mindset.
