His power wasn't devastating before, and it'll be even less of a problem for fighters at 175. He didn't sit down on his punches against Bhop and he won't against the likes of Tarver or Dawson. He should go back to 168 where his power is still respectable and fight Pavlik. Not to mention he'd be quicker at 168 too. For a fighter built on speed, he loses his biggest asset by going up in weight.

My only concern with that is it might negate his speed which is the epitome of Calzaghe. His ability to get someone against the ropes and flurry, regardless of how much or little damage is actually being dished out, is enough to get refs to jump in and stop fights. Those quick flurries also help him to win and steal rounds. Even with adding muscle I don't think his punches will be that heavy.

Not if he adds the right kind of muscle, adding a little on his biceps and shoulders shouldn't slow him down and should help him.

No, Hopkins just made him look bad, like he has to every fighter since 1993. Roy Jones even looked nothing special in his Hopkins fight. Winky, Tarver and Taylor looked crap against Hopkins.
Apart from Jones, name the last fighter who looked good against Hopkins. Answer, no one.
