Yep, you can knock him over, but it seems his head clears alot quicker than other fighters. Regarding the power, didn't Frank Warren come out with something about a wrist injury to add into the brittle hands issue.

Although I don't think his chin will be an issue, he may find himself being pushed around by naturally bigger guys, but we need to see a fight against another fighter to properly gauge his performance.

Weight wise, he came in a couple of pounds lighter than the limit, so he may well put a little more muscle on next time, who knows??

yeah, i think he needs to add a little muscle as the fighters at 75 are going to be stronger/more pysical with him.

He had wrist injuries when he fought Lacy, he hasn't had much trouble with his hands or wrists lately from what I know.

If he intends to stay at 175, I really think he should put on some muscle on his upper body.

I wouldn't worry about putting on muscle, as long as the muscle he does have is toned I don't think adding more will really help that much. Besides, what's cool is seeing a skinny white kid who looks nothing like a boxer winning fights against big muscled dudes who you'd swear would flatten him in 20 seconds, going on looks alone. The fact that big guys like Lacy, Kessler, Hopkins, etc got slapped about by a kid who trains in an old shed just adds to the magic!

Calzaghe has slowed some and doesn't punch hard enough to keep a hard punching Light Heavyweight with stamina off him. He outpointed an old Hopkins who relied on grabbing and puching between rest breaks. If Chad Dawson learned even a little defense he'd easilly beat the 36 year old version of Calzaghe.

No, Hopkins just made him look bad, like he has to every fighter since 1993. Roy Jones even looked nothing special in his Hopkins fight. Winky, Tarver and Taylor looked crap against Hopkins.
Apart from Jones, name the last fighter who looked good against Hopkins. Answer, no one.

My only concern with that is it might negate his speed which is the epitome of Calzaghe. His ability to get someone against the ropes and flurry, regardless of how much or little damage is actually being dished out, is enough to get refs to jump in and stop fights. Those quick flurries also help him to win and steal rounds. Even with adding muscle I don't think his punches will be that heavy.

Tarver is in consistent and Dawson is too raw. I don't really see any competition for Calzaghe at 175. Calzaghe moved up at the right time.

its hard to tell because he faced hopkins who makes anyone look bad. he may be better once we see him fight there again against a different opponent

Joe should go back to 168 and stick to the shot fighters. He looked terrible and should be thanking his lucky stars he got out of that fight with his protected record intact...
