    IS Manny Pacqiuao the best?

1.) Is Manny Pacqiuao the best or should he fight Joan Guzman and/or Edwin Valero to prove it?

2.) Should he fight Juan Manuel Marquez to prove he's the best (he only won one fight and that fight was too close)?

3.) If Pacman fights David Diaz and Nate Campbell and wins should he even be considered for being the best?

I dont think so. Everyone knows he's going to win over David Diaz and he'll win over Nate Campbell(thats if Nate gets tested for drugs before and after the fight)

this all boils down to the marquez fight. imo, marquez was robbed twice. now before the haters start, I'M A HUGE PAC-MAN FAN. pac don't have to prove **** to no one except himself. i personally question why he won't finish the trilogy, i'm not gonna say he's scared cause obviously he's not. or mabe he's biding his time. but to answer the quesion straight up, no, pac is not the best, but he is one of the best.

honestly I think Bob Arum is the one running the show 100% for Pacman. Marquez wants to fight him again and Juan Diaz wanted to fight him and there was no response. IMO, Bob Arum views them as too risky. So he'll move on to easier fights & guaranteed belts.
In response to the "before the haters start" I agree, its only a few Filipinos, not all of them, who'll start whining about your comment. Its the truth though, whether they like it or not.

He's very good, but I thought that JMM deserved the decision so no.

JMM and Guzman are better than anyone at lightweight and if he wants to be seen as the best he should fight them instead of Diaz, who I do not rate highly.

Him fighting Valero would be good too, although I am not sure how good he is.

I am not trying to be hard on Pac. I think that the best should fight the best, but most fighters do not do it, and Pac's level of opposition has been higher than anyone's in the past few years. I also think that if he can no longer be at his best at super featherweight then moving up is the right thing to do.

          best at what?

          in boxing? hell no.

at 130? you could argue he was but he's not fighting there anymore.

at 135? he hasn't even fought there yet.

we'll see. it's up to arum. he's running the show and maybe it's best for manny that way. manny isn't really what you would call "business smart".

i think we'll see juan and manny fight at the end of this year or next year at 135. manny's not running away from juan. whether he's scared to lose to juan or not......NOBODY runs from $6-7 million dollars. arum and co. are just trying to see if they make GBP wait long enough......that $6-7 million might turn into $8-9 million.

He's good but all he's got is a straight right, and got lucky with the last decision.

            I like him though.

              straight left. he's a southpaw.

how'd you score the fight nicky? i had it 114-113 manny scoring it the 2nd time around as objectively as i can but there are a lot of rounds that could've gone either way. weird thing is i scored the 7th for manny and all 3 judges scored that round for juan so i can see it either way as well.

i think he got lucky as in the close decision went for him instead of juan which it could very well have gone to. but i don't think he got lucky in that he lost the fight clearly but was given a gift. the fight was just close and i think it always will be against those 2. they are perfect to fight each other. each's strength goes against the other's weakness.

Lmao that's embarrassing for me. Still high from passing my driving test.

I can't remember what I scored it, but I definitely remember thinking that the judges could easily give it to either man . Manny got caught quite a few times, and kind of gave it (indicate his opponent hit him with a good shot) away by doing his little battle cry by ****ing his gloves together. Either way it was a great match up, and I felt bad there had to be a loser.

When I watched the Calzaghe fight I had Joe winning my 1 point, being as neutral as possible. I thought the American judges would give it to Hopkins, and started ti worry especially when I heard the first judge's card.

lol nah......everyone is just so used to saying straight or overhand right and left hook. there's just not too many southpaws out there outside of asia. funny thing is us in europe and america thinks southpaws are rare but almost every single flyweight or featherweight i see from philippines or japan is a southpaw. thailand too but they're not really natural southpaws more due to how they stand in muay thai 'cause most of their boxers are converted kickboxers.

manny-juan is so hard to judge. juan has great defense and very technical so manny can't really land flush but manny hits so hard that he hurts him. manny on the other hand doesn't have great defense so he gets caught flush and it looks pretty for juan but he just doesn't have the pop to really hurt manny. once in a while but he can't consistently hurt manny like erik did. i remember thinking manny lost the 1st time i saw manny-juan 2 or a draw because i threw a party and didn't score round by round. but when i scored it round by round i had manny win by 1 point. i see how it could go the other way though.

as far as joe-nard. i hope they never EVER fight again. dull fight to be honest with you. i think joe won maybe 8-4 or 7-5. he was just more active. in a dull fight the guy punching or trying to punch wins imo. i didn't score round by round when i watched it live though and i could be wrong but you couldn't pay me enough to watch that fight again to score it round by round. i say hop retire and joe make some money with jones and tarver before you retire.
