Being gassed out is trouble, your feet become numb, you can barely move your head. I rather be hurt than gassed out. Nigel Benn and Klitchko as far as I remember int heir kos they were all gased out. If you're gassed out a jab will put you down.

No way. Bernard has never been stopped in his entire career, at no point was visably hurt during the fight and was in there against a guy who is nicknamed slappy.

        Get real.

Personally, I think he elaborated the whole low-blow was to try and shift momentum. Calzaghe was clearly in a groove, and Hopkins will try anything and everything to try and stop it. And it worked, for that round at least.

Exactly. I'll be the first to admit it's unlikely Calzaghe could KO Hopkins, but you have to take into account Hops was struggling to keep up with Joes pace for ages. In that round it all got too much for him, he was seriously out of breath and energy, to the point he had nothing much to give.

If that had of continued, we'd have seen an exaggerated version of R11 and 12, not an energised Hops to win the round.

So in his desperation for some breath and energy, you'd have seen Hops clinching more, punching less, being more sloppy, and Calz clearly winning and throwing more. It's certainly possible if Hops had no energy to attack/defend much, that there could have been a TKO, similar to Manfredo's. A sudden influx of punches going one way, with the opponent unable for whatever reason to do much.

            no way.

Maybe he would have caught a few more clean punches. I scored the 10th for Nard even though he cheated. But after his good little comeback after cheating he didn't throw a punch in anger for two rounds.

Pretty smart I guess, it won him the 10th round imo

I don't know about cheating, more holding and a few more headbutts possibly, Cortez was more likely to get his **** out than dock Bernard a point no matter what he did.

I think Joe would have stopped him prior to the low blows you could visably see Hopkins starting to fade and fade quickly, suddenly he got a minor tap, if you all really think Hopkins was hurt (You need your eyes checked) Hopkins new the end was near and he did what any smart fighter would do, look for a way to by time.

Low blow in the 10th was weak, biggest joke of the fight was in the 11th round, Calzaghe hit hopkins with a right hand body shot and he went down pretending it was a low blow. The ref let him go down but didn't call a low blow, That should have been a count, but again the ref let Hopkins hold and butt all night

did Calzaghe land a body punch the entire fight?
