isn't it ironic that all the voters who said yes are all proven to be Cal Lovers? Just look at their past posts.

Joe would'nt have stopped Hopkins. As a matter of fact, I think Hopkins won.

how would he stop him? he never hurt him at any point or even landed cleanly. maybe ref intervention but that would be a highly suspect stoppage.

First of all he had every right within the rules to take 5 minutes

            Bernard is smart.

Its no different than an NBA team calling a time out when the other team is on a run, to stop their momentum.

At 43, its exactly.. what he should of done.

No one fakes an injury unless there hurt, what other reason why would he do that. And we all know that Calzaghe lands mean body shots like he has against Kessler

LOL, I didn't see one body shot in that fight. Well it might have been a little slap or some ****.

Dude, I actually see what he's saying here though.

I think it might have been more fatigue but Hopkins looked physically worn down at the end of the fight. The way he was throwing punches showed the real story. Kellerman said it right when he proclaimed that Hopkins was just flailing punches. They had lost all crispness.

Such a huge sign that age has indeed caught up to B-Hop and he shouldn't fight again. It's been a great ride though.

I agree 100%. I don't believe Hopkins was hurt, or if he was, not enough to be stopped. Exhaustion was what forced him into trying for an Oscar award for 3 minutes. He simply could not fight at Calzaghe's pace. When you are seriously tired you are in danger of being stopped. Yes, even by Calzaghe and his china hands.
