Morales VS Mayweather at 130

It's not even close.

Mayweather DOMINATES any featherweight you put in the ring with him. The only exception being a young Arguello, who went on to be a great 130-135 fighter.

I voted KO as in fight does not go the distance, not as in Morales gets caught and counted out, because that's pretty close to impossible. A TKO or a corner/doctor stoppage is very likely.

I will happily proceed to add to my ignore list those who picked Morales, because it is one of the most ludicrous opinion I have read on this website, and it shows either ignorance or inability to put logic together with empirical observations.

I would take Azumah Nelson at his peak over a 130 pound Mayweather.

Mayweather takes a hard fought, but lopsided decision over Erik at 130. Something of the 117-111 variety sounds right. Clean punching would bust up Erik's face, but Erik's ability to switch gears would keep Mayweather fighting all 12 rounds.

I don't even care what weightclass this mythical matchup takes place in. Mayweather will either win by brutal tko or a wide UD.

Mayweather has beaten guys that were way better than any version of EM. Boxers, DLH and Genaro's boxing skills are better than EM's. Slugger/Inside fighting, JLC and Ricky Hatton are much better when it comes to slugging it out.

I would pick Mayweather above Arguello and Nelson, but in close fights, where I would not be surprised to see Arguello or Nelson getting the nod. Let's say that in a trilogy against either, I would bet on Mayweather winning at least two fights.

Nelson in particular would be better suited stylewise to trouble Mayweather. Arguello even with his skills, righthand bombs, and toughness, would a bit too straightforward for Mayweather. He would not present him with a lot of puzzles, and would leave him too much time to think.

Morales is not a brawler at all really.

He does get very aggressive sometimes, but he does not wing punches crazily with 110% power for more than one shot, at most.

He was a very aggressive boxer-puncher, which usually are not wild enough to bother a very defensive fighter.

Also, remember what defensive specialist Zahir Raheem did to Morales at 130. Morales's best days were behind him at 130.

Finally, the 15 people who voted Floyd KO are absolutely out of their ****ing minds. Morales has the best chin I have ever seen. Ever. I am still convinced to this day that Pacquiao did not have him hurt once. He lost his balance every time (they were legit knockdowns, but he wasn't on ***** street), and gave up in the third fight because he knew his reflexes had no chance against this fast, strong Pinoy kid who was coming at him every second.

Close decision win for Mayweather, although I wouldn't be shocked about a Morales decision. No KO in this one, either way.

I do think that one was incorrect. The WBC International Lightweight Title was on the line, but not a real ABC belt that is considered one of the four legitimate world titles. Also, on the -Skidz- version that I have of Pacquiao-Morales II (all of the -Skidz- videos have a paragraph or so about the fight), it says that it was the rematch that almost didn't happen. Pacquiao won his tune-up bout against Hector Velazquez, but Morales shockingly lost a decision to Zahir Raheem. That makes me think that it was all planned out to have a rematch, and Raheem was seen as an underachiever for the most part that Morales should have had a fairly easy time with.

Same here! I had no idea their fight was at lightweight. I thought David Diaz was Morales's first venture into that weight class.
