The man is ****ing 43. Give him a break. If Calzaghe fought the 36 year old version of Bernard little doubt there is of the outcome. That says alot about bernard. and allot about calzaghe. Am i the only one thinking calzaghe is jus average?

WE'RE not debating who won.....YOU are. Hopkins clearly LOST, Calzaghe clearly WON.

YES, you are almost the only one, other than a small group, rapidly diminishing, of Hopkins "die-hards". It isn't only Calzaghe's over 10 year title reign, but his complete, unbeaten record. Also the WAY in which he's won almost every opponent.

That is a VERY poor article given the caliber of pieces this site has been known to put out. That is just ****.

As for the ****** clip... I can show you 100 clips of hopkins running away. Facts are facts. If Hopkins wasn't hurt, he wouldn't gone forward. Simple as that.
If that is a push then Lewis' KO of Tyson is a push. It's the same ****ing thing. Joe was going down either way.

the age thingy arguement is moot. How old was he when he beat the **** out of tarcer 42? he is in great shape, but he fought a guy that has a very difficult style. Plus he also happen to lose to a white boy

I sored the fight 116-112, with Calzaghe winning most of the later rounds.
That being said, it wasn't a one sided fight, as the article states.
If Hopkins didn't clutch & grab so much, he could have won.
It was clear to me that Hopkins was a lot stronger than Joe, but Bernard didn't go for the KO, which i think was a huge mistake. He proved in the 1st round that Calzage couldn't take a light heavyweight punch. Sure it was a flash knockdown, but he should have fought the same way he did against Tarver, guess he didn't have it in him?
Hopkins has nothing to offer, he should retire.
As far as Calzaghe, he should fight Pavlik & retire...Roy Jones is washed up, i have no interest in seeing that fight, Jermain Taylor would be a good opponent as well.

I hate Zags Style. I hate watchin him fight. He slaps like a 15 year old girl.

I hate B-Hop's style. I think hes a one and done cheating washup. Lead right hand, head butt, clinch. Now we can add horrible actor to the list as well.

They both suck balls at this stage.

                      That being said....

Calzags ****** less in this fight and clearly won.

I've rarely been less interested in watching a fight...but i've watched it twice now trying to see things from the BHOP fanboys perspective...

And its asinine. You can argue the MORE EFFECTIVE PUNCHING argument ONLY IF THE FREAKING PUNCHES ARE BEING MORE EFFECTIVE!!

God in heaven! Hopkins backed up and held ALL NIGHT LONG. Effective punching doesnt mean your opponent gets MORE EFFECTIVE as the fight goes on.

It means you are having more of an effect. Other than his push down in the 1st, and the cut nose...Hopkins punches only "effect" was to make Zags more eager to rush in and slap him over and over.
