Hopkins made Calzaghe look like a bum for the whole fight, even when Joe started winning rounds after the halfway stage he still looked poor, Hop just ran out of steam. Joe's no tactical master, he was clueless to come up with a strategy to even pin Hopkins down, this fight was supposed to be his grand coronation, instead he managed to snatch a contraversial decision against an ageing legend.

Sir Slappy turned Hoppy into a yelping dog, crawling about on all fours with his protector pulled up around his ears for the better part of 10 minutes of the fight trying to squeeze out a point deduction or DQ of Joe.
