Lets get some things straight about Cal/ Hops..CHUMPS.

A- Hops dropped Cal with the first punch he landed in the fight.
B- Hops stunned Cal at the end of one of the round with a punch as well.
C- the ONLY time Cal hurt Hops was when he hit him below the belt.
D- Hops had LITTLE to NO damage on his face, Cal did.
E - Cal CLEARY won the fight AND HE DID IT BY out hustling and out landing Hopkins. PERIOD.

joe is 1 of the top 3 fighters in the sport today,and stop makin excusses for bernards loss you could also belittle hopkins wins as most people know his biggest wins are against smaller men

good post. he won by out HUSTLING a 43 year old. He didnt win by kickin his ass because Joe got his ass kicked. He won because Hopkins, at that age, couldnt sustain a level attack on an every round basis.

no one will ever beat the **** out of hopkins his style of fighting is made so that he does not get beat down, the only way anyone will beat bernard would be by decision.jones fought bernard early in his career and he didn't drop bernard not once so why knock calzaghe for not demoliting hopkins

Absolutely nothing you say devalues the win for Joe in any way, and in fact your whole post just reports some things that happened in the fight, along with its outcome. I don't understand how this is a platform for insulting his fans.

Until any actual Calzaghe fan turns around to you and posts that "because Joe beat Hopkins he is the greatest fighter ever", this is just a bait thread, but I've never seen any Calzaghe fan here post that Joe is the greatest fighter ever, let alone that he is because of beating Hopkins.

In fact most Calzaghe fans will tell you that although Joe won, he looked the worst her has for a long time, and that they knew he'd beat the forty three year old B-Hop anyway. Most Calzaghe fans admire Joe not for getting past Hopkins, but for his long undefeated career, and in particular the manner he took his title from Eubank and the awesome performances he delivered against Lacy and Kessler. We like him because at his best he really looks like one of the best boxers in the world.

So like I said, lay off on the bait threads trying to stir up **** and if you have something to say about Calzaghe then post it as your opinion and see what people say. I know you're capable of it, but all this calling people 'buttriders' is just silly.

Anyway, Joe Calzaghe isn't the best fighter in the world, thats Floyd Mayweather, but since Mayweather doesn't actually fight in his chosen division and Joe is now 2 Weight Ring Champ, there is an argument for making him current p4p #1, based on the fact he's the man in two divisons simultaneously now and keeps beating everyone. Its not a ridiculous argument at all.

I have him #3, behind Mayweather and Pacquiao though.
