Lets get some things straight about Cal/ Hops..CHUMPS.

A- Hops dropped Cal with the first punch he landed in the fight.
B- Hops stunned Cal at the end of one of the round with a punch as well.
C- the ONLY time Cal hurt Hops was when he hit him below the belt.
D- Hops had LITTLE to NO damage on his face, Cal did.
E - Cal CLEARY won the fight AND HE DID IT BY out hustling and out landing Hopkins. PERIOD.

GOOD WIN FOR JOE..BUT GUESS WHAT CALSLAPPY BUTT RIDERS.....

it aint a big deal that you beat a FORTY THREE year old because you THREW MORE punches then him and that IS why Joe won.

Had to come sooner or later. Did Tarver or Trinidad manage to get through to land so much against Hopkins brilliant defence? No.

Did Joe get hit as hard as Bernard hit Tarver and Trinidad, No.

Did Joe land the highest pct against Bernard ever, avoid getting that hurt, and raise the pace into his style, not Bernards, which was effective. Yes.

Was Joe one of the first to really tire Bernard, to the point he could land and confuse Hops more, with Nard holding, tiring and losing? Yes.

Did Joe beat a top 10 p4p, and widley regarded LH no. 1. Yes.

good post. he won by out HUSTLING a 43 year old. He didnt win by kickin his ass because Joe got his ass kicked. He won because Hopkins, at that age, couldnt sustain a level attack on an every round basis.

Hopkins would destroy younger fighters like Chad Dawson. Hopkins is no ordinary 43 year old, and we all clearly saw that Calzaghes punches grazed Hopkins and no hard low blow took place during that match just a boxer who was hurting from the body punches landed by Calzaghe. And Tell me what fight Hopkins has ever had a bruise or swelling on his face? Hopkins doesn't just have an ugly mug, his face is iron and no one has ever put a dent in it.
