De La Hoya must win to challenge for Mayweather's WBC 147 lb. title. Mayweather vacated it shortly after winning it, Vernon Forrest holds it now.

If there is any sort of boxing god, Steve Forbes will win this fight. But the reasonable bet is that DLH carries Forbes into the later rounds if not the distance. It will be a televised sparring session.

i like how some people on here give forbes a chance eventhough it's nowhere in sight. im a fan of oscars, but it really bruised me watching that countdown, it actually made me feel sick in my stomach. stevie is a good kid, and i dont want to see him hurt. if i gotta use my head of course id bet all the money i have on dela, if im using my heart, then ill be rooting for forbes

Well, at least you can take comfort in knowing that after his bumps and bruises heal, he'll have a fat ass paycheck to help him forget about the loss.

              I want Forbes to win.

**** De La Hoya and his rematch. I wanna see who Floyd fights after De La Hoya losses by SD. On some Felix Sturm **** that should've happened a LONG time ago!

I know nothing about Forbes but I hope he beats Oscar! I have nothing against Oscar, I just don't want him and Floyd to fight again. If Oscar loses, Floyd vs. Oscar 2 would not be appealing for anyone..

in a way i think that it's if steve's family is getting farewell money. meaning how suicide bombers from iraq were promised that their familys would be taken care of with the bills and set for life. but the man of the family would have to sacrifice his life. it's a lousy example but it's fitting in this situation. if you look in oscar's eyes when he talks about that fight, he's ready to send steve into semetary. the man looks like a predator and he picked forbes to do the kind of damage that will send shock into floyd's eyes. he wants to send a message to mayweather, and he wants to do it using steve's body.

Ay, Nice, did they say the bout was at Welter Weight???? I'm thinking It's at 154lbs.
i think you might be mistaken,
                    oscar was the WBC champ,
                    after that floyd beat oscar,
took the wbc than vacated the title,
baldomir vs forrest got a shot at the vacant tilte,
i think that;s how it goes,
the forbes vs dlh is at a catch weight of 150lbs and dlh is pushing to have the fight @ 147lbs for wbc title

How come you don't know anything about Forbes?
I thought this site wasn't for the casual fan.

He fought on the contender and lost in the finals against a guy much bigger than him. He was also robbed against Demetrius Hopkins
He's a good little fighter that beat Panchito Bojado not too long ago.
