Honestly I think he could beat Joe if he stood in the center of the ring and traded. He just doesn't have that in him, which makes the whole 'thug' image especially hilarious

.....Yeah, I don't think he's mentally tough enough to do that. He had his moments when he did stand and trade but I still thought Call got the best of him for the most part. Bernard isn't tough enough to come through over Joe in a fight like that and would have ended up laid out more than likely. Calzonie is more dangerous when he gets hit and hurt. I think it's extremely funny all the way around because Cal is obviously a tougher customer. It really ****s up certain peoples image of how things are supposed to be. IMO you are born with toughness or you aren't, and it has little or nothing to do with environment.

I completely agree; Hopkins only ever wanted to steal a close decision w/o risking the boxing match becoming a fight. And he wonders why no one sympathizes with his minimal effort

don't make my comment into a race issue, because that is absolutely the last thing I intended it to be beyond the comment Hopkins made. I don't care what race he is, he's the one who seemed to care and his talk came back to bite him in the ass because he couldn't keep a pace to win the fight, nothing more.

And if your questions are regarding the history of this country, slavery, colonization, economic colonization or some other type of socio-historical concept, I am fully aware, I just don't think it has anything to do with this particular situation and Hopkins' trash talk, lack of backing it up, and inability to take defeat after bringing the subject of race where it has no place.
