I completely agree. You could give Hopkins the first 3 rounds (10-8, 10-9, 10-9), but after that Calzaghe won all the rounds easy.
I had it 115-111 Calzaghe... 115 instead of 116 because Calzaghe lost one point for slapping low

I could not agree more, hopkins fighting style should be illegal because it's more wrestling than boxing. He also said that he controlled the pace of the fight, but if it was not for Calzaghe there would have been no fight. I despise Hopkins' one punch then hold style. Hell his best weapon is that big head of his.

                Which school was that?

                the acting school?

                the holding school?

                the headbutting school?

or the pathetically sore loser school?

                  exactly what I expected

This fight went exactly how I expected and exactly, how a wrote about it in this column. Hopkins landed by far, the cleaner and more effective punches, but Calzaghe landed more pitty-pat punches. The compu-box numbers, are never accurate, and never judge a fight by those numbers. If Bernard was hit 223 times, you are going to see some swelling around the eyes, or the jawbone. I saw none, after the fight. After the one punch knockdown, in the first round, you saw Joe's nose bleeding, and busted. Calzaghe, was the aggressor, and let his hands go more, but the question is, was he effective in throwing those punches? It's all a matter, of how a person scores a fight while they watch. I believe the cleaner punches, are more effective. As I watched the fight with a freind, he said afterward, "Joe is not impressive at all. I would love to have seen these two fight, four or five years ago. At 43, Bernard can only fight in spurts, and can't let his hands go freely anymore. I tip my hat to him, because whether you are a fan of his or not, the reality is he's fighting at 43, at this level, because he has never been beaten up in the ring, and Saturday night proved that also. Joe can go on, and fight Roy Jones, but the sad reality is, Roy is past his prime also, but probably can defeat Joe, becasuse of the difference in power. When you watch a fight, you have to watch closely, and there is no question, Joe lookes amateurish, many times. I would love to see him fight a top american in their prime. Dawson, or Pavlik. It would be interesting to see. All in all, it was a decent fight, and let's see what the future holds for both. Bernard could fight again, and Joe will probably take on Roy, in Wales.

now we know why hopkins ducked calzaghe all these years
stfu, are that dense? 43 year old calzaghe gets torn to shreds by a 43 year old hopkins. 43 year old calzaghe aint even in the game. 36 year old hopkins destroys 36 year old calzaghe. 39 year old hopkins beats any version of calzaghe.

did i just sum the whole thing up right there?
