there was nothing in it. there should be a next time. hopkins might ko joe in a re match. he might of if he jumped on joe insted of dropping him then backing off to conserve energy. thats the trouble with getting old. you have less options.

First of all, Calzaghe showed that he can be dirty himself. He was rabbit punching Kessler all night too.

Secondly, he did get schooled by the better fighter. PERIOD.

In a sense, I agree with Bernard that he "took Calzaghe to school", he certainly showed Calzaghe something he'd never seen before, and I don't think Calzaghe could say the same.
i was thinking the same thing.... this was a new experience to calzaghe, fighting against a guy that knows all the tricks in the ring, and calzaghe was able to handle that and did the same kind of fight against hopkins too. calzaghe was uncomfortable at the beginning, but then he started to loose himself and even though he did not dominated of course, he did more than hopkins to win.

He dropped him, he took his shots without really bein hurt, and he landed the cleaner blows. Sounds like a winnin formula, but in the back half of the fight he didn't try to KO Joe when he could have. He was content to keep counterpunchin and it cost him the win.

They both pull out every trick in the book. At the end, it was Joe having more landed punches. IMO, Joe won every round except for the first one. Bernard was simply... mot throwing much. If you don't throw, how do you expect to score. BHop lack of activity cost him the fight, period.

BTW, Joe was the better dancer.... "wiggle it, just a little bit..." LMAO!!!

Well you're an idot poster, most of the good posters who thought Hopkins was going to win even admitted he lost. You're a trashy poster who judges boxers by their skin tones. Get the **** off this forum you waste of space piece of trash

no huh? well joe hit bhop more than anyone else ever has.
Yeah, I saw the compubox numbers too. The truth is that in terms of whose fight they fought, they fought Bernard's.

Calzaghe is my favourite fighter, but I cannot agree that he put in a good performance tonight.

He adapted, and won the fight, Joe beat him fairly easy after the 4th, bhop would try to do the counter punching but joe landed much more

A real man would admit that he lost after that fight. 114-113 was ridiculous.
