Prime Hopkins would have beaten Calzaghe

Hopkins biggest wins have come post the age 40. He wasn't quite as clever and the counter puncher he was at 30 something, than now at 43, and it's those things that gave Joe the most trouble. Joe beats any Hopkins.

If they fought in 2002, I think we'd have seen a more open fight, Joe with better hand to hit harder, and able to hit more as Nards defense wasn't as super good as it is now. Result, Calzaghe win, if anything, by more.

You could easily argue it the other way round. If Hopkins had fought Joe in his prime he would have stopped him, probably TKO. Joe Calzaghe beats Bernard Hopkins at any point in their careers. Get off the bullshucks.
