I would have to say yes. You can definitely make a case that Hopkins won on Saturday. Hopkins would take Calzaghe out of his game plan (like he did) and beat him.

I disagree a prime Hopkins would have took more risk making it a much better fight but in taking those risk Hopkins would have put himself in a position to get hit alot more.

Easy fight for Hopkins in his prime. Hopkins took Echolas best punches and fought at a high pace in there first fight.

Still i think that Hopkins would have fought Joe in the same manner as there fight yeasterday. But he wouldnt tire and would have throwed more combination. No way Joe would slap his way to victory in Nards prime.

Hopkins last good fight where he was able to throw more combinations and fight at a higher pace was against Joppy. After that he started to fight much more causious and at a lower pace.

Hopkins biggest wins have come post the age 40. He wasn't quite as clever and the counter puncher he was at 30 something, than now at 43, and it's those things that gave Joe the most trouble. Joe beats any Hopkins.
