Who won Hopkins vs Calzaghe?

I had Calzaghe by a point, 114-113.

Hopkins didn't do enough in the championship rounds, otherwise he'd probably have gotten the nod, but Calzaghe looked the busier fighter.

Anyone who thinks that fight was a robbery is braindead and/or just mad that the white guy won.

Hate to make "racial" accusations but I think it may apply in some cases.

watching it live I had JC by a point.

But, when I watched it again Zaghe pretty much swept all the rounds from 8 onwards, apart from I think it was 10 when Hopkins cheated, lay down on his back from three minutes and bought himself a massive break. He came out well after that and won the rest of that round.

It wasn't easy but Hopkins basically didn't deserve to win rounds at times - he was too negative. And, basically when you are not initiating any offence of your own for the most part and popping the occassional counter off even if it lands fairly clean, I can't give a fighter that round with a good heart, unless it is a number of shots that exceeds more than a few in a round.

In Football (soccer) terms it's parking 10 men behind the ball for 80 minutes going one-nil down and then still with 10 men largely behind the ball getting a break-away goal. Sure the score is now level but who deserved to win? There were a lot of rounds like this in Calzaghe/Hopkins.

If you judge it on who kept busier, then Calzaghe won. If you judge it based on who landed the more signifigant shots, then Bhop won.

Always thought B-Hop won this fight..But I was not mad when they announced that Joey Zags won it...It was all depending on what ya like,work rate was controlled by Joey Zags...The more effective and solid punches(imo)were landed by B-hop..
