If Calzaghe had chosen to fight Wright, who's the same age at 36, would it be a bigger win?

Bernard Hopkins is the toughest opponent, and yet he'll get less credit than if he defeated Wright, Dawson, Taylor, Tarver or Jones since they're all under 40.

If I was his promoter, I would have chosen Roy Jones.

Not with Wright, but the rest, sure. Wright's best days are behind him also.

Joe beats all those guys right now, except maybe Jones. Jones is somewhat of an enigma right now as you really don't know what he brings to the table. You know what though, if he gets in there and fights them, that makes him, in my eyes, truly kickass. Putting all your cards on the table leaves an impression, win or lose.

If he loses he was an overated limey and if he wins narrowly he got lucky and Hopkins was "too old".

Some times even if you win, you lose. Dawson got that and I expect Calzaghe to receive the same treatment.

the thing is though, Hopkins is old.
Real old.
And past his prime.
