Cotto and Margarito are two different fighters. By saying that Floyd will do to Cotto what Cotto will do to Margarito is assuming that Cotto and Margarito are the same. Cotto is a lot more than your basic active pressure fighter. He can do it all. You're assuming that Cotto will fight Mayweather in the same fashion that Margarito will fight Cotto. It's ****** to compare a Mayweather-Cotto fight to a Cotto-Margarito fight. Styles make fights. There's not much logic in this thread.

Floyd has too much defense, he'll easily avoid whatever Margarito throws at him and showcase his defense, no matter how much Margarito throws he wont be able to land clean punches as seen with Clottey.

Hey guys styles makes fights. And also boxing its not a sport 100 percent predictable. To say that Cotto can win because he box better than marg and also to say that cotto loses to PBF because PBF box better its not a wise thing. Sometimes we have seen that the preasure fighter has won over the stilyst boxer. For example: Trinidad vs whitaker, Salvador Sanchez vs Wilfredo Gomez, Terry Norris vs Chavez, Cotto vs mosley. So every case is diferent. Not always the pure boxer beat the brawler and sometimes the browler can beat the pure boxer. Theres is no style superior than other,but the reality is that are boxers better and more determined than others no matter how they fight.

Floyd poised himself as a Super Featherweight, now hes fighting De La Hoya whos a middleweight, if anything he was fighting people smaller than him, Cotto started his career at as natural weight limit.

I trully believe that Cotto has what it takes to beat Margarito. He is a very complete boxer. He can box,he puts inteligent preasure, has a great jab, decent speed, good ring generalship,great bodypuncher, decent power in his hands, good footwork, average defensive skills( atleast better than Marg). If i have to choose a winner my humble opinion is Cotto. But Marg can proove me wrong because i have some doubts in Cotto especially in how is going to handdle that kind of preasure, in how is going to absorb the puching power of marg, What he is going to do with marg work rate. Theres its not and absolute truth. The two of them are great warriors and great champs. They already show what they are made of in just accepting to fight each other. So we have a fight difficult to predict and a lot of exitment.
