It cracks me up that Hopkins always talks about "dying in the ring"...

At his peak, Hopkins was a true warrior. He would destroy his opponent.

Consider Glenn Johnsons performance last night at age 38, and imagine him getting beat up badly. Hard to do right?. Well Hopkins did that 10 YEARS AGO, When Johnson was much fresher.

Not to mention, HOpkins remains the only man on planet earth to hold Stoppage wins over Trinidad and Glenn Johnson

So, still, no one gets that this a comparative thread.

By jumping on my ****, you are basically saying that Margarito and Hopkins attack their opponents with the same kind of ferocity and mindset about me or him.

          Brilliant.

Question: Who seems to try to win a decision more, Hopkins or Ricardo Mayorga? Seems to me that the answer to that question is the one who treats boxing more as a sport than a battle to the death.

I'm still not sure exactly how I am not showing respect.

I was just saying that he would not be the person I would expect to make that kind of comment considering the way he fights, and how defensive he is in the ring.

I think the way Hopkins fights is terrific, and damn near impossible to beat, and literally impossible to look good against. It's just not exactly the style of fighter I would expect from someone who considers boxing a fight to the death instead of a sport.

Stop twisting it... You said it was funny how Hopkins considers boxing a life/death situation, now you're saying something different.

I find it funny that the guy who claims it as a life and death sport fights the way Hopkins does. It's just unexpected, nothing else.

The zoo comment was definately funny, period.
