One on one, the fairest type of battle of all.

Not to mention the ass kickings and ko's.

    Boxing is the truth.
Agreed. Boxing is the ultimate truth factor when it comes to testing a man's skill and will to be the best.

wow, a masters degree, eh? your girl is pretty awesome.

          well...

          1. Boxing has to be one of/is the most physically demanding sports ever, there is little time to rest, fighters have to compete for 36 minutes, and all that time they are throwing punches and getting hit, the only time to rest is to clinch or run, both of which are discouraged by the referee and you can get points taken off for it.
          2. Boxing has to be one of/is the most mentally demanding sports ever, because the gameplans for fights, mental fortitude to keep fighting even while getting hit, and all the skills necassary to do well in boxing.
          3. It is exciting. that goes without saying.
          4. boxing is open to anyone who is physically fit enough to be licensed, you dont need to pay for college and be drafted by a major team to compete and make a few dollars.
          5. Boxing is also a sport that is available to people of all sizes...unlike football, basketball, etc you can be below 140 lbs and still be a star.

im tired of making a list, ill just throw some ideas out there. boxing gives destitute people opportunities in life, like look a Kassim Ouma and Miranda and how boxing basically saved their life. talk about how boxing is an international sport, where champions can come from any country. talk about how boxing is a big part of many nation's cultures, like mention how important Pacquiao is in the Phillipines and how proud he makes them etc...talk about how boxing is actually safer than sports like football when talking about the number of serious injuries and all...

and its getting late so ill stop there for now. hope your girl does well on this.

Unlike any other sport (except MMA I guess), a boxing match can be over in a split second. A terribly boring fight can have a sensational or shocking conclusion. What other sport can you risk missing the end of if you turn your head?

dope thanx. like i said, she wanted examples of how boxing is different from other sports so she can get ideas of how to make an ad campaign for the sport as if it was being promoted on a network or something.

Unpredictability, and the fact that it's probably the most dangerous sport in the world. That's what makes it better than any other sport for me.
