Need help guys: What do you think makes Boxing better than any other sport?

As I've mentioned, my girl is getting her Masters in Creative Advertising at the University of Texas. She has recently chosen Boxing as a project for her class in which she will have to do an advertising campaign for the sport. So I told her I'd make this thread since many of you can provide reasons as to why you think Boxing is better than any other sport that is popular.

The infinite amount of variety that can go into each and every fight. Different style matchups make for an infinite amount of fights.

Different ways of winning: Decision vs. Stoppage.

The ability of the fighter to choose the best fights... No Patriots playing the Dolphins twice in one year in boxing. Floyd Mayweather would be killed if he fought Reggie Strickland twice in one year.

Variety of different weightclasses, which definately shows a complete different look of how they fight. Heavyweights have a ton of power with little workrate and stamina, while minimumweights generally have less power, but incredible work rates. You can find your equilibrium that suits your tastes.

Well for starters it's one of the oldest sports around, hand to hand combat is the ultimate sport at it's core. There's no teammates, nobody to blame a loss on except yourself, it's do or die. You get to test your physical limits and talents against another man who is looking to do the same against you.

Then there's the stories of boxing, stories of people overcoming tremendous hardships early in life to eventually find success as a fighter. See stories like Kasim Ouma's for that.

Then there's the heart aspect, probably my favorite aspect of all others. The will to win, the desire to be the best no matter what happens. Guys who take tremendous beatings and endure tremendous amounts of physical punishment simply to have their hand raised and be able to say that on that night, they were the better man. It's prideful, and pride is a uniquely human emotion.

The best thing you can argue for is it's simply 1v1. There is no deciding factors from other teammates, balls, vehicles, etc... 1v1 and may the best man win.

One man versus another. No pads no helmets, no hitting people from behind, no help from teammates.

Rabid degenerate fans. 75 year old men wearing purple armani suits with two 19 year old hookers on their arms and smoking a cigar.

One on one, the fairest type of battle of all.

Not to mention the ass kickings and ko's.

                  Boxing is the truth.
