yeah i just hope philippines can turn out a few more champions to keep the rivalry going.

Mexico produces more world champions because of how integrated boxing is in their culture. There are alot of countries with great boxers that could compete at an elite level but retire early despite having impressive skills and records because lack of exposure from world level gives them way too much risk and not enough reward. Even Pacquiao had to go on american pilgrimage starting in new york and working west before finding a trainer in Freddy Roach that could get his career kickstarted despite him already being a world champ when going from boxing gyms and getting turned away by trainers all across the U.S.
