There's something distinctly terrifying about these guys.. Trust me.
I've laid into a Mexican kid a foot shorter than me with my full body weight and alls he did was counterpunch me. It's real in the field as they say..Comment

I was overly impress with Margarito on saturday, He just took everything Cintron had to offer and basically broke him down...I really cant wait for his fight with Cotto because THAT might be the big break that he needs to break through the elite.Last edited by Ray*; 04-14-2008, 09:02 AM.Comment

co-sign. being from the east, but being educated in the west, the mexican dudes are more loyal to their own dignity as opposed to the dudes out here.As a Californian I have a special appreciation for Margarito. I've been in numerous streetfights with our Mexican brothers out here, and I'm the sort to make a friend out of a situation like that if ever possible.. I respect a good foe. When I first got to know Margarito the fighter I thought; "..There's a big badass Mexican right there.."
Even the smallest Mexican warriors are a ****ing handful in the Land of the Sun.. Margarito is dark alley nightmare.
You gotta love that.
There are 5'2 Mexicans that will **** your whole world up. Streetfighting is a different game. Having a good chin and relentless pressure is unstoppable on the streets. I don't want to ever hear that anyone anywhere else globally has to deal with anything like the Mexican dudes out here.. **** that!
i learned a ton about dignity out there, real talk.Comment

So was i. I dont know many fighters who would've beat Margarito on Saturday. He threw more than 600 punches in just short of 6 rounds. He was like a runaway train with no ****ing brakes!Comment

DISAGREE....U have to respect the mans gangsta and warrior spirit. He doesnt just box you, he mugs u. He like Cotto, breaks u down mentally and physically. He has a chin of granite, and stamina of a jackrabbit. He doesnt mind taking your best in order for him to deliver his best.
In regards to his loss to Williams, i feel that Margo lost it more than Williams won it. If he would've taken the same approach to Williams that he took to Cintron, Margarito would've definitely came out victorious in that fight.
Fight fans will be getting a real treat when he and Cotto step in the ring in July!
im the biggest Margarito fan out there.. believe me.
but I totaly disagree with this statement. i had an ARGUEMENT with one of my best freinds about this yesterday..
he was stating the same thing and I disagreed,. he even said I wasnt a Margarito fan for disagreeing with him
Cintron doesnt move as well as Williams.. he couldnt take the pressure and he stood right in front of Marg. ANYONE who does that will lose bad...
if you watch the Williams/ Marg fight..Williams boxed well the first half of the fight, he never stood in front of Marg.. he was going, left to right and contantly throwing jabs...its just hard to do that for 12 rounds against a guy pressuring you like Marg does...so later in the fight Marg was effetive cuz Williams's foot work slowed down.
Williams earned that W, he boxed well and when he had to dig deep in the later rounds he did so..
I think if Cotto stands in front of Marg, same result will happen with him as did Cintron, but if he boxes which he proved he can, he should beat Marg, same with Floyd, if he moves well early he can pull out a UD..

Im not taking anything away from Williams for his win, but i dont think he beat Margarito early on with just movement. He was succesfull early on due to his ability to keep Margarito at bay with his reach advantage and punch output. You may see it differently than me, and i respect your view, but i still say that if the Margarito that fought Cintron on Saturday, faced Williams, Margarito would/would've been victorious.Comment
