A great example to compare Cotto's punching ability to is Pipino Cuevas. Not so much because he is a downright lethal puncher like Pipino was, but more because Pipino was another guy who used to break bones and disfigure faces with his punches. He left a lot of guys looking bad in his day.

Just watch the end of this clip. Brutal.

Like everything that starts tight, it gets lose quite fast.
i believe it entails over wrapping the knuckles and fist to where it looks like only the tips of the fingers are exposed. and the build up of wrapps around the wrist make the glove super snugg. titos corner are masters at it.
watch some boxers play hell trying to get gloves off after bout. on a recent fnf fight i seen a boxer give up trying to have one of his gloves yanked off before the decision was being called.

One thing I will never lose is my objectivity. That's why you've seen my cross the battle lines countless times and pay tribute to the truth.

              I have my integrity.
Read my last post. This isn't the first time somebody just happened to be this type of puncher. You post this rubbish about his "pressurized" gloves with this smart-alecky curiosity, all but drawing the conclusion that Cotto blatantly cheats and gets away with it, but it's horse ****.

It concerns me that people actually believe this stuff. Kind of funny actually. You are succeeding I suppose...

                Nitpicking?

Tell that to the 3 Cotto opponents who are NO LONGER FIGHTING.

This isn't intelligent debate, this is emotional fanboyism..

Is Cotto just this so called "freak of nature," or are the laws of physics somehow different when he hits people? Why do his punches create lacerations, severe swelling and bruising on the face, and severe and extreme damage to the body - and yet he rarely drops opponents from the individual punches themselves? Why so many guys taking knees, and looking like they have full blown AIDS after he gets done with them, ect?

...You've heard what I have to say about the pressurized gloves, the clear as day excessive taping, the crushed tops literally bent over and pointing off at an angle because they're wrapped so tight..

I'm not saying it's illegal - who cares, it hasn't been a problem.. But is there an association? Or is this all a coincidence?

It has nothing to do with how you wrap the hands. It is called skinning because what you are literally doing is pulling the skin tight. You dont even need tape to skin a glove. Any lace up glove can be skinned. You just need to pull it tight before you tighten the lace. It loosens up fast, and it makes it harder to make a fist. Not worth it IMO.

The only smart alecky nonsense here is coming from you, fanboy.

When you come in with your cape on, Captain, a day late and a dollar short, I know what time it is.

This is the first involved discussion on the issue. But it isn't the first time I've mentioned it.. Nope.
