Floyd not fighting Margarito was a smart move

The difference is Cintron is there to be hit, and floyd is not... which is pretty much the BIGGEST difference between floyd and everyone else... can, and how... will you hit him...

Agreed, but unlike Floyd, Cotto will be there to be hit so maybe we will end up seeing Mayweather vs Margrito.

Margarito went into that fight with a bad hand and ankle. He just didn't cry about it like Clottey did.

Because there is no possible way that you can beat him and look good doing it. Margo would obviously not even acknowledge that Floyd is hitting him and would just make Floyd do laps around the ring boxing as much as he has ever done. Even more so than Baldomir. But it would be WORSE than Baldomir. It would be a horrible fight for Floyd stylistically and it would make him look like he was fearful the whole night. People would be leaving and booing. PPV purchasers would be changing the channel to something else. It would not be a win he could benefit from.

can any of you point out where I say Margo would beat Floyd or even come close?

I think Floyd would have to grow a set of balls before he would ever get in the ring with Cotto or Margarito.

thats not what im saying. floyd would be boxing more than he did against baldomir and that fight hurt floyd's marketability. when people start booing and walking out on a fight where you are being showcased, its going to affect you.

It would have been exactly like the Guzman-Soto fight. I agree pretty much with that, but Mayweather would make more people he won, where as some people (idiots) thought Soto won.

People are forgetting how Williams beat Margo , you cant stand infront of him like Kermit tried ,,,, Cotto will beat Tony with skills and Floyd will beat Cotto the same way ,,,, I believe Margo is more dangerous an opponet for Floyd than Cotto , its a size thing , Floyds not really a welter and if I were him Id avoid Margo if I could .
