Calzaghe only fights inexperienced fighters or those he thinks are ready for the old people's homes. There is no doubt he is a protected species and I cant wait to see his back on the canvass.

we all know how Joe used to get 'injured ' whenever a big name was mentioned only to recover and fight an Evans Ashira
Calzaghe didn't fight Lacy as soon as was intended because of injury. So was he faking that to get out of fighting Lacy? If so, wouldn't the extra time result in Lacy being more experienced by the time they fought each other? It seems that the facts and your opinion are pretty far apart.

You are criticising Calzaghe now, but if, instead of fighting Lacy, he would've refused the fight, EVERYONE would've slagged him off for ducking Lacy. Who should he have fought instead? Hopkins? You would still say he was too old. RJJ? Coming off a defeat. Whatever Calzaghe does, people like you will criticise him.

So Joe fighting Eubank with only 22 fights under his belt, as opposed to Eubank's 45, is a sign that he only fights inexperienced fighters? How about the undefeated, multiple belt holding, 39-0 Mikkel Kessler? Giant German Mario Veit had 30 fights when Joe pummelled him in a couple of seconds, then he faced him again (Veit's 45th fight). Reid was 26-1, Mitchell 25-2, even Luciano Torres who Joe KO'd in 3 rounds back in 1997 was 44-2, twice as many fights as Joe.

By the way, I think you might be disappointed if you're waiting to see his back on the canvas. First time it happened Joe KO'd Mitchell just over 1 minute later. He touched the canvas one more time in the Ashira fight, although it meant nothing, Joe won every round, if I remember correctly. He also put Ashira on the canvas in the 11th.

The knockdown against Mitchell is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J27JjNvYZ40

Really? Why is that? Being knocked down in two fights, one in which he KO'd the guy who knocked him down, and one in which he won pretty much every round on points, I don't understand why anyone would act like they don't remember it even if the knock-downs were slightly insignificant and didn't help Mitchell or Ashira. It proves Joe can get up off the canvas and win in style. I would have thought Calzaghe fans would see this as a good thing?

If Khan fights for a world title before December, he will have done so at a younger age than de la Hoya. Even if he doesn't, de la Hoya and Mayweather were great amateurs who went on to become p4p #1. I don't consider it to be fair to criticise a fighter because he hasn't won titles at the young age that DLH and PBF did, because they are exceptional cases.

The only other fighter in recent years who had a title fight that quickly at that age was David Reid. Most people now accept that he was moved too fast. Khan is doing just fine.

Yeah, great fight even though it's pretty short. I like how Joe, even though going backwards, managed to knock down Mitchell. Sweet shot.

Calz beating BHop would do a lot to that list.
