The Cotto hype - do you buy it?

People say Cotto is a very good fighter and hits the body methodically for continual pain. How can you get behind such an hype? This **** wouldn't be allowed in any other fighting sport. There is a REASON he is fighting Gomez. Ask yourself, if the man is so good, why Gomez then? Couldn't he have found someone better? Is he waiting for Mayweather? that would be even more ****** because it's very likely pbf hangs them after Hoya. The main reason Cotto punches much to the body is he is just isn't a very fast fighter. Already, at 27 has taken more punishment than most elite fighters in a 5 year period. He compensates his lack of speed by doing the body work. I think very poorly of these kinds of fighters. They are the **** one day and the other they are just ****. Think Katsidis for one, Gatti for another one and now Cotto. Cotto can pull that trick vs maybe 75% of the current opposition but I'm not buying the hype. Are you?

Now since hes fight Gomez, I belive. But if he destroys him, than ok. He should fight Money Floyd and have Mayorga as a tune up. Or esle look for Andre Berto. Nobody esle other than Margarito. Than the fun starts by next year. So nothing right now.

Im sadened he didnt over impress over Mosely. It was kinda a sloppy showing but hes the top guy because Mayweathers having a trilogy withb De La hoya, while Cotto beat the guy who had a trilogy with De La hoya and won, turns out Mayweather is the new Mosley.

so i take it you didnt see the mosley fight where he showed versatility. Cotto isnt the best fighter in the world, he may not even be in the top 3, but for anyone to call him "hype" when looking at his resume which includes former champions and fighters who BECAME champions after he beat them, you can come to the safe conclusion that he is better than "good".

what i dont understand is how you can call Cotto hype, when you were so confident about Paul Williams. Paul Williams hadnt even accomplished a 3rd of what Cotto had yet, you were more than sure he would be the best welter after Floyd. You need to be consistent.
