Predictions on Cotto V Mayorga if it were to happen!

people don't wanna see this fight happen but I don't mind this fight at all I would like to watch it happen, it would be a really fun fight to watch and knowing all the **** Mayorga is gonna talk to Cotto would be even more interesting to watch and now that Mayorga is a little more hungry and determined ever since he beat Vargas it would be an interesting fight to watch, and it would be the only opponent that Trinidad and Cotto would have in common.

yh lol, mayorgas a promotional genious and it would be interesting to have a comparison between cotto and Tito. However, i wouldnt read to much into that comparison, they both would have fought el matador at different weights at completely different times in their careers

not sure if Mayorga can still make 147lbs but we all know he was a hell of a fighter at that weight. If the fight with cotto was to come off how do you see the fight panning out and who do you see winning.

I see cotto winning a keenly contested slug fest with a hard fought UD.

Cotto is the better boxer but Mayorga by KO mid rounds.

Mayorga will show up to the weight-in 15lb over.
What you gonna do? Cancel the fight and disappoint everybody or make him pay a fee on let it happen.
But than hes gonna have a huge physical advantage

Just like Miranda, Mayorga could KO anybody but he don't have the skills to beat a really good boxer. If he could force Cotto to brawl with him he'd have a chance but Cotto would still ultiamtely take him out. Cotto KO.

Dont think Mayorga can effectively cut down to 147lbs anymore. I mean he was taking diuretics (illegal) to make weight for the DLH fight and that was at jrMW over a year ago. I also dont think he is the same fighter that beat Forrest either.

If they do fight Cotto will box off his back foot ala Abdulev(sp) fight.

Cotto by KO......a prime Mayorga is a different story though I dont see a big difference between Margarito and Mayorga.

A good indicator of how Cotto would've done against a prime Mayorga is the Margarito fight. If Cotto destroys Margarito very good chance he would've done the same to a prime Mayorga. If Cotto gets destroyed by Margarito very good chance Mayorga would've done the same to Cotto.
