I mean, we all know the answer to that question. But what I am saying, pfp is mythical. However, I understand that Floyd honors that label that he has. I'm sure that he would defend himself on that stance if he was taken down a notch to Pac-Man or Joe C. I'm not too big on it, HONESTLY.

I say that because I am an athlete. I understand competition. I play football and every year they had guys who were ranked higher than me, but when it came down to it, I out played them all....that's my stance, I know its a different sport, but I hope u feel me
i understand u, that p4p thing is trciky yes, because how can somebody prove that pbf could beat calzaghe if they were the same size?
    1. at what weightclass are we mythically matching them up
    2. when one moves up or move down, would they bring the same height or not?
3 what advantage or disadvantage would each fighter face going up or down in weight?
    man **** p4p standings
i will just stick to judging the best by weightclasses.

Yes sir, that is Y I don't believe in the pfp ratings. In addition, some guys that were ranked higher than me, were there for a REASON! I mean I am real, there were some guys that were better than me, I will say that.

NO..I agree. I don't think he should fight Oscar and Hatton again. BUT Cotto shouldn't be fighting Gomez either, and say hes looking for Floyd. THE SAME STANDARDS ARE FOR ALL FIGHTERS DEE!!!!!!

Trust me, if he beat Cotto no one would dispute him as #1 P4P. After beating Cotto, he should just retire because there would be nothing left for him to prove and he could only add to his legacy by moving up to middleweight. This is assuming Cotto goes on to beat the Margarito-Cintron winner...

I understand that, but you know how it is. Then he will have to beat Joe Smo, then Jim Doe, and so on and so on. I like Cotto don't get me wrong, but its seems as though BOXING has made him the savior, the one to FINALLY take out Floyd. The fight needs to happen. Will the Cotto fight seal his legacy?

I for one am not crazy with the Gomez matchup, but im not gonna sit here like most Floyd fans and make an excuse as to why this fight is a good fight. Who else is Floyd to fight while he await the winner of Cintron/Margarito? He already beat Shane, Zab, Quintana. Clottey just fought. Floyd has made about 22 excuses as to why he doesnt wanna step in the ring with Cotto. Is Cotto suppose to just sit around and do nothing? I'd rather see him take on Gomez in a "stay busy" fight, rather than do nothing. At least he's working towards unification in his next bout. What is Floyd working towards besides lining his pockets with money?

its pretty much sealed. this whole "and when he fights Cotto and beats, there will ALWAYS be someone else Floyd needs to fight" is bull**** because no one really asked for the first DLH fight as they are doing with Cotto, no one really asked for the Hatton fight as they are doing with Cotto, COTTO is the one people wants to see him fight. Those 2 fights are fights FLOYD actively pursued. I mean look at the **** that is going on, EVERYWHERE Floyd goes, he's being harassed about Cotto. Its an issue FLOYD IS EXPECTING TO BE ASKED ABOUT. Everywhere he goes, the burning question is about Cotto. When you talk to ANYONE about Floyd, Cotto is the name that is mentioned now. Cotto is perceived to the biggest thread to Floyd. There currently is now other unless Yuri Gamboa some how moves up in weight and ****s everyone up.

Dude, Mayweather is not going to fight him. Cotto has already done enough to earn the fight. Cotto can fight whoever he wants, especially since it's a set up fight for a big fight against one of the top welters in the world...

As far as the public is concerned, Floyd will be expected to keep fighting the best until he retires.

To me, Floyd's legacy is already established as one of the all time greats, but if he is still in boxing, then everyone obviously wants him to keep fighting the best out there, and Cotto is the best out there right now. If he wants to retire, then retire and let Cotto be the undisputed best out there, if you don't, then fight the best to further cement your legacy.

Ok. you right about everywhere he goes Cotto will come up. But that is GOOD. Since this the fight that NEEDS...I MEAN HAS TO BE MADE. I can't wait for it to come off. So everyone can get what they want.
