IMO Referee Steele saved Meldrick Taylor life

I mean if u look at the replay carefully the stopagge was a good one
He was damaging him the whole fight if Steele didnt had the plain and basic common sense to stop the brutal beating one more punch coulda killed the poor Taylor
Just look at him now brain damaged by what Chavez did to him one more punch and Taylor might not have been with us i dont care if u think one more punch doesnt matter better safe than sorry
Steele is a good ref that dedicated his life to the sport and the absurd theories of him being a don king ref make me sick

Still the most important thing is that there is no doubt that Julio Cesar Chavez is better than Meldrick Taylor he beated him fair in the first match and send him to oblivion in the rematch

Pretty good point I'd say. I'm not even gonna get into this again about this stoppage. It still pisses me off to this day.

i think chavez won the fight because tylor was knocked out on is feet. but the stoppage didnt save his life. with 2 seconds in the fight taylor would have been safe since chavez was no were near him, so dont start this saved his life crap here.

by the way i have a feeling your going to get attacked bad soon.

Taylor deserved to finish the fight. He won more rounds, period.
I think from the replays he misunderstood Steele.

Chavez hit him with harder shots in the later rounds but for the first 6 rounds and more , Chavez wasn't even in the fight.

Taylor's health was affected when he was fighting on too long. This was the start of his decline, but they denied him his shining moment.

                IMO

he took a beating but he was not near the brink of death in that fight, actually the true damage didnt show till later on and it was because he took more beatings, the chavez fight alone didnt leave him in the state he was in, it did how ever kill his momentum.

Steele had the right to stop the fight because he asked Taylor if he was OK twice and Taylor didn't respond, mainly because of Duva, but saying he saved Taylor's life is exaggerating it a bit.
