This is the first time I'll be putting HBO on DVR and watching Showtime first since Casamayor-Corrales III was on during Briggs-Adamek II...

you think some one like vernon would give him chance to adapt? some one called this an even match but this is everything but even. im not saying he cant step up, but i dont see it. he has nothing special, vernon him self had time off and know that he has been fighting more and more he is looking better, his last 2 opp were champions or contendors at one point, moras last guys were not

Mora has said it him self on tv boxing is not every thing for him so that also says there is a limit to were he would let his body go.
Im not saying that fighters on their records are to be compared. All that I am saying is since he lst to Mayorga, Vernonhad had elbow surgery and fought bums. When was Ike's prime? Oh yeah 10!!!! years ago. And you still had trouble, if anything Vernon is way over rated.

edit: and about his last 2 fighters being champs ^, come on Ike was in his prime 10 years ago, and Baldy is old and washed up.

yeah sergio is very untested...i was just saying he does adapt...this test will tell me if he can step it up against the big boys....

vernon is overrated as of late....baldomir went on to look like **** and almost lose against a guy alfonso gomez tko'ed in 4....piccirillo was coming off looking bad and barely getting a come form behind ko against a regional fighter...ike quartey schooled his ass so he doesnt count on forrest resume to me...that's giving me hope that Mora can pull it off....

                You got me good,
Its just that everyione hates on Sergio, but I think he is pretty good. He started off fighting in backyards for money and fun. A friends dad told him to box. At the age og 17 or 18 he was a sparring partner for Fernando Vargas, and Bernard Hopkins. He turned pro was brought along slow, the won the Contender and is trying to do something for himself. He said he would turn the JT fight down again if he had to. He said it was the right move at the right time, because there was no way of getting a decision over JT, and he thought he wouldnt have been able to knock him out, but could have won a decision if it was judged right. He is also an educated smart Mexican, which there arent a lot of, and yes I am Mexican.

picarillo him self was a title holder, him and baldi were the ones i was talking about thats why i said last 2, i could of said past 3. even after a 2 year lay off he has been pushing forward faster then mora has.
Vernon will have the speed, skills, and the knowledge of a mature fighter. i dont think either have great power but i would give the edge to vernon even tho sergio will move down in weight.. and after looking at sergio i belive he will be starving him self something awfull to make weight, i mean he was 1 3/4 of a pound over in his last fight, maybe he over looked that guy but thats no excuse

These fights are good. If all goes well l'll be seeing Larry Holmes and others that day and won't see the fight but these are two great fights. Sergio is underrated and both these fights should be entertaining. I won't see them live but I'll see them for sure.
