the thing is, sergio can box. Thats how he came up. He has sparred with the best of them, just read his bio. Sergio can box, he was a jr olympian and didnt make the Olympics because he lost to Jermaine T. Sergio doesnt have much single punch power, but with Venon fighting a WAY BIGGER guy that has always fought at 160 and Vernon coming up to fight at 154 Mora's power will be more of a factor. And I think the accumulation of punches and the body work the Mora puts in will be the deciding factor. He will break down Vernon by the 5th round. I say Mora at 154, and Vernon coming up in weight, Mora has the same punching power as Ricardo Mayorga at 147. And we know what happened there. Also Vernon is not all that good. He beat Mosley, but some fighters are just made to beat other fighters. But he never did anything after that but lose to Mayorga and beat an old washed up Baldomir. But who knows, this is coming from a big Sergio fan.Comment

mora will break forrest down by the 5th!!! LMAO!!!! damn, u could've at least said the 9th or 10th!!! u can't compare mora to mayorga. mayorga is a relentless fighter, mora is not, and i do not see mora "pressuring" vernon forrest the majority of the fight. i also believe the "weight" issue is overrated with some fights, but i'll be nice and give u that one........Comment

Sergio Mora sucks ass. He barely got by Peter Manfredo Jr. the rematch, actually come to think of it everyone thought Manfredo beat him. He then gets a draw against the guy that Abraham just KTFO and although I didn't see that fight I hear Mora should have lost that fight too. Too top it all off, he gets a shot at Jermaine Taylor, the belts, HBO, millions of dollars, everything a boxer could possibly dream for and he backs out. Says he's going to retire undefeated and be like the "Michael Jordan of boxing." LMMAOComment

Ok here are some facts. Sergio only had I think a week to prepare for Elvin Ayala. He was training for a fighter that comes right at you and wanted to fight, unlike Ayala who was not willing to stand and fight, and also trained for Kassim Ouma for a long time before that got scratched also. So to train for 2 in your face fighters and have 2 canceled fights and fight a guy who is the polar opposite of what you trained for isnt easy. His fight got moved to eralier in the day so that it could be shown on ESPN CLASSIC instead of the normal fight time of 8'o'clock it was like at 4:30pm in LA. He had been off for over a year and a half. So he had major ring rust. It's a fact the lots of fighters suffer ring rust being out for that long of a time period. See there are logical reason backed up with FACTS that lead to why he had a bad outting against Ayala. Then his last fight he still had a little bit of rust, but you could see him fight through it to eventually pull off the TKO.
And if he would have fought Jermaine in JERMAINE'S BACK YARD there is no way on god's green earth that he would have gotten the decision. Look at Spinks, Spinks kicked his ass easy and STILL lost. Even B-Hop in the 2nd fight kicked his ass, and STILL lost. Kelly Pavlik kicked his ass easy in the 1st fight, and was still 6 points behind on the score cards before the knockout. Come on, thats common knowledge.Last edited by My Name Is...; 04-08-2008, 06:27 PM.Comment
