I really rate Pavlik but I think he loses to the psyched up, hypnotised, no fear, machine that faced McClellan. Any other night he has a good chance though!

Benn would win, even though he was fairly easy to hit and had a tendancy to be a bit too wild he would KO pavlik quickly. His aggression and punching power were phenomenal. IMO

Pavlik would look good, but he would get knocked out at some point. Although Pavlik fights disciplined, I would not say he fights smart enough to trick Benn into tiring or stuff like that.

That's what I can say based on what I have seen of Pavlik so far, maybe in the future he will look better and better, and it will make sense to pick him against Benn. Right now no way. I mean... Benn won a slugfest agaisnt Gerald McClellan...

I would favor Pavlik because of Benn's one dimensional style, lack of stamina, height/reach disadvantage and lack of technical ability. He was mainly a huge ****er. The way to beat Pavlik is to out box and circle him because not only could he take an extremely hard shot, but he also never takes and step back or show fatigue.

If Pavlik makes it out of the early rounds, then he would stop Benn late because he has far better stamina and late knockout power. Benn has lost fights because of him gassing out and that gave his opponents their shot at stopping him. He would be worn down by Pavlik's body shots and work rate. Pavlik's punches are straighter and precise and will get there quicker than Benn's wild hayemakers.

The only time Pavlik was seriously hurt in his career was when he dropped his hands against Taylor. The Zuniga knock down wasn't that bad, it more nerves than anything. Pavlik has a great chin and could take what Benn has to dish out, as he has fought two of the divisions hardest punchers in Taylor and Miranda. Pavlik has too much, chin, stamina, power and diverse arsenal for Benn to handle.

            Pavlik by late stoppage.

Pavlik has a great chin so I don't know what you are talking about. Pavlik would beat him.

                  toss up???

I don,t know , Benn in his prime was a true monster and if he connected anywhere on your body you would feel like someone hit you with a steel pipe...the guy was a pure puncher and if he hit pavlik the way taylor did right on the button there,s no way pavlik wouldn,t piss himself...

one thing is for certain, I'd have not thought twice about paying to watch that one, it would have been short and brutal
