And he's not in Canastota. His brother is, but Leon isn't.

I seen it in the ring magazine, Leon is definitely in the hall of fame. He got there only beating Ali and capturing the gold medal.

He hasn't been inducted. He was probably just there to sign things.

He doesn't deserve it anyway, for going 1-1 against a shot, Parkinson's suffering (listen to Ali's speech circa 1977) Ali.

Most think Ali lost early on in his career against Doug Jones. But of course the gold medal Olympian got the win. And thats not the only fight Ali was given the nod cause of his name. Even the greatest Ali supporters/writers would say, "when you fought Ali, you were already a few rounds behind in the score cards.."

I really didn't see the controversy in that fight. I had it 6-3-1 for Ali/Clay. Jones was in his hometown and the crowd went nuts whenever he threw punches.

There were other fights where Ali got the benefit of the doubt, but I didn't think Doug Jones was one of them.

Ali was dominant, so was Louis, Duran, and Ricardo Lopez. That's what I can think of off the top of my head.

true but in the same breath you could say there was alot of hate toward s ali and many wanted 2 see him lose.

slick that's not the point of the thread, ali wasn't by far the greatest heavyweight of all time there are at least legends on his heels if you have him number one.
