The most dominant fighter at their weight ever (read the first post)

Okay, here is what I am asking:

Roberto Duran is generally viewed as the best lightweight. How much better is he than the #2 of all-time at that weight? Does he have a larger margin of greatness than, say, Marvin Hagler had over the #2 ATG at middleweight? I am basically asking who is the most dominant fighter at their weight compared to other most dominant fighters at their weight.

Was Ricardo Lopez a greater minimumweight than Evander Holyfield was at cruiserweight?

Does Roberto Duran at lightweight stand a chance against Wilfredo Gomez at 122?

Robinson at 147 or Michael Spinks at 175?

Who do you all think takes the crown?

That's not the question though. P4P is the antithesis of what is being asked here.

maybe so but at what weight was he most dominant and does his domination at this weight compare to others domination at their optimum weight?

For this one, you should probably go with a division with not as much history.

For middleweight, you can argue over Hagler, Monzon, Greb.

For welterweight, you can argue over Robinson and Armstrong.

Now you take a newer division with less history, the gap between #1 and #2 for Ricardo Lopez at the minimum weight or whatever that weight class was, or Evander Holyfield at cruiser.....is a lot larger and with less debate.

i don't know.i think whitaker would give him a run for his money, gomez blasted everybody i can't think of any superbantams that could beat him in history maybe barrera or morales but gomez hit harder than **** at that weight.robinson is the greatest but leonard would've given him a run as well based on skills alone,i'll go with holyfield cause he was good enough to compete with the best heavy's of his era and become a legend.

Muhammad Ali. He beat Liston, Patterson, Frazier, Foreman, Bonevana, Ellis, Tirrell, Norton, Young, Lyle, Shavers, Spinks ect. All of these fighters are known as some of the greatest heavyweights of all time and Ali beat all of them. Not to mention that was and most likely will be the greatest heavyweight era of all time.
