You really could've done without this line.

No reasonable person would consider Toothless Leon and some of those others as being among the greatest heavyweights ever. Liston, Patterson, Foreman, Frazier, and Norton are all probably top 20-25 though, with Liston, Frazier and Foreman all being probably in the top 10.

      Ali's resume was insane.

I find this to be kind of funny, considering we already have two different heavyweights nominated.

Thread Stealer, how old is the 105 division? I know Cruiser has been around since the early 80's.

I think it's been around since the mid 80s, along with super middleweight.

Outside of Tyson, Patterson was the youngest heavyweight champion of all time. While slightly past his best, he was still a good fighter and ranked in the top 10.

Leon Spinks was an Olympic gold medalist and unbeaten at the time. Have some decency, Ali was past his prime at that point and Spinks is in the hall of fame.

The gap between Robinson and Armstrong @ 147 is nowhere near the gap between Lopez and whoever is 2nd at Minimumweight.

You can make a case for fighters besides Robinson being #1 at 147. Look at Armstrong's resume. You can't make a reasonable case for anyone else being #1 at 105 besides Lopez.

There's just too little history of a newer weight class like 105 or 190/200 (CW).

Leon had like 7 pro fights!

And he's not in Canastota. His brother is, but Leon isn't.

Ali beat the better/greater fighters than Louis did. Louis was a great fighter in every way but some people are fooled by that bum of the month club. In fact, i think that the best fighter that he defended against during that rein was Billy Conn, he was getting a boxing lesson in that fight before Conn started to exchange.
