actually cotto is the best right now but if margarito or quintana claim that throne i doubt floyd would fight any of them
its more like why wont floyd fight the best if hes supposed to be the best?

Cotto is not going to lose to either of these fighters.

I think Cotto and Mayweather should fight. Historically, it just doesn't make sense for two significant fighters who fight at the same weight to not fight each other. That said, if Cotto were to lose to Gomez or Margarito he'd lose a lot of his claim to historical significance.

I don't care if Floyd fights Hatton again. It puts boxing in the limelight, but if Cotto unifies the division then Floyd should fight him if he's also going to KO Hatton again.

I mean Floyd was ignoring Zab's request to fight, then Zab gets smashed on by Baldomir, lol Then Floyd signed his papers for the fight.

So If Cotto loses, that might actually take away some of the fear Floyd has of Cotto.
The Zab-Mayweather fight was signed and a date decided upon, on the condition that Zab beat Baldomir. Like DLH-Sturm.

              Swing and a miss, asshat.

Although I would still love to see them fight, no, that boat would have set sail. When is the last time you heard anyone say Mayweather needs to fight Williams?

Floyd should fight whoever the top contender is. Cotto is the top contender now and if he loses whoever beats him should get a shot as long as they beat him decisively. Berto is the top alphabet challenger in Floyd's case (WBC), but Cotto is recognized as his the legitimate top contender, just like Mragarito was before Cotto beat Judah and the Ring pushed him past Tony who had yet to lose to Williams at that point, even though it was soon after.
