at this point cotto doesn't need to fight mayweather to secure his legacy he's building it at the moment.floyd needs to cotto to secure his legacy cause as the welterweight champion of the world cotto is his biggest threat.he retires forever after his oscar fight, there will always be a question about this.it's not enough for him or his fans to say he retired the best.fact is as welterweight champion his biggest threat was miguel cotto and he didn't fight him. -

Whenever Floyd retires there will always be somebody at the time some people will say he is ducking or he should have fought , Cotto is the flavor of the mth right now , when he beats Cotto they will find somebody else and the pattern will continue all the way untill he retires , Floyd never wins in the minds of the haters and he cant fight everyone , its so ironic that the haters wanted Hatton and they all said Hatton would destroy the runner , now thats dust they jump on Cotto with the same story ,,,,,, Cotto must not loose ala Margo vs Williams if he is to get a fight with Floyd in the next year or so and Hatton needs to lose to derail a rematch , if Cotto keeps winning he will force the fight with Floyd , it takes the fans and public to push for the Cotto fight and its already got some momentum started , I think the fight will happen with the only worry being can Cotto get over Margo , I think he can but its a very dangerous fight for him .Originally posted by ANTONIM View PostComment

boxing is the only sport where the best don't have to face the best. the patriots didn't tell the giants they weren't gonna play them because they hadn't earned a shot, or they weren't a big a enough draw.
