    this is what i mean.
the idea of always being someone else was only true after he fought baldomir and started crying about his retirement and a fight with oscar.we are not talking about anytime else,he's retiring soon, cotto is now, that's the fight everyone wants to see.

No way , Hatton Floyd was the most wanted fight in years ( just check the archives here ) , Hatton and what he would do to Floyd dominated forums the world over for 3 yrs , it was a fight that had to happen and it was huge when it did .

I understand your point and I agree with you , Cotto is there now , but he has 2 fights to get past and Floyd has 1 , so nothing can happen untill next year and because of that a lot can change especially Cotto must not take a loss ,,,

Cotto deserves a shot right now. If he doesn't lose he is most deserving.

If Mayweather wants to go down as an ATG, he needs to fight the best. If he doesn't, he'll be simply remembered as a great talent, but never truly tested his talent to the limits. Cotto's ready and willing to fight him. It's on Mayweather now. If Mayweather avoids him, and Cotto unifies and dominates the division, he'll go down as the greater fighter.

I personally believe that if Mayweather refuses to fight Cotto it will tarnish his credibility as a dominate welter weight but not his previous accomplishments in the lighter divisions. Mayweather is great but in order to truely claim dominance in the welter weight division he needs to fight Cotto. Paul, Quintana, Tony, and Cintron don't deserve to call out Mayweather.
