I know he was an OK fighter, but Chuck Wepner was one tough fighter. He had the heart of a lion and would give anybody a hard fight.

For me it was Diego Corrales. He didn't have the best chin ever but having a good chin doesn't make you tough, just tough to knockout. Diego had guts and balls, if he went down he always attempted to get back on his feet.
If an opponent went had him hurt and went in for the kill it was dangerous because Diego's heart and toughness dictated that even hurt he would swing to hurt his opponent and not go into survial mode.
His tombstone says it best "One More Round" which was said by him to a doctor when he had a 2inch hole in his face and was swallowing blood.Comment

yes, definetly, when he was cornered into a tough position, he didnt go on the defensive or try to hide, he walked straight into the face of danger to gamble with his chances. that's what toughness is, not giving in, and pushing forward against the weight of adversityFor me it was Diego Corrales.
