I won't try and be a smartass about this but I'm looking forward to any form of written explanation as to why Calzaghe has better footwork. From the waist up Calzaghe is one of the best practicioners in the sport. And while his feet are fleet, his footwork is not the best. Certainly no match for the footwork of Bernard Hopkins. NONE.

A large part of what makes Hopkins appear to be all the things he is good is his exceptional footwork and feet placement. He's all legs. Joe Calzaghe is all bending at the waist. Joe's natural Boxing skill and fast moving/rotating torso covers all his footwork mistakes. Joe Calzaghe's legs have betrayed him on many occasion, putting him out of position and in the line of fire. This is one of the reasons Hopkins has a chance to begin with.
